“Inspired to revive the curiosity we had as children, Eitch is on a fun and endless journey of trying new things while asking old questions.”
Eitch (pronounced “H”) is anything but ordinary. Tickled by the oddities of life and taking pleasure in learning more about what puzzles her, Eitch’s music plunges deep inside a realm of curiosity and self-reflection. Obsessed with the notion that “not everything is as it seems”, and eager to look at her own life from both an objective and subjective perspective, Eitch expresses her ongoing crossroad of striking a balance between doubt and perseverance, while painting a colorful picture of human behavior and the universe as a whole. In doing so, Eitch has formed a sound that is both vocally driven and atmospheric—floating somewhere between alternative, electronic, and pop—which she playfully describes as: “Altronipop”.
In 2010, Eitch released her debut album ‘Everything, Nothing’, a collection of work she began writing and recording in 2006. Unpredictable and full of wonder, the 11 original songs featured on ‘Everything, Nothing’ reveal the scope of her imagination, as she sings her words like an actor would play a character. Often described as: “danceable but not dance music,” Eitch writes in streams of consciousness rather than a standard chorus-verse format, introducing intricate passages that change the mood and direction of each song. Or as she likes to put it, “don’t expect to end up where you started.”
