MarchFourth Marching Band
MarchFourth Marching Band is a mobile big band spectacular, consisting of a brassy assemblage of saxophones, trombones, and trumpets and a raucous drum/percussion corps anchored by a wireless electric bass. The sound is huge, melodic, and dynamic, taking audiences on a jaw-dropping musical celebration. MarchFourth writes and performs its own material, and draws inspiration from an eclectic range of international influences. MarchFourth Marching Band’s stilt-walkers are world-class, executing acrobatics and spinning fire six feet up. The band’s dancing beauties fill the stage and spill out onto the floor with original routines inspired by Bollywood, burlesque, American cheerleading, hip hop, jazz, and ballroom dance. The dazzling talent and extraordinary energy of the band, combined with the showmanship of the dancers, creates an unparalleled musical visual experience for audiences from all walks of life. MarchFourth Marching Band has appeared on stages from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to the Hollywood Bowl and performed with acts as diverse as Pink Martini, No Doubt, and The Mutaytor. Aside from being performers, the members of MarchFourth are also artists, designers, and craftspeople. All drum harnesses (welded from recycled bicycle parts), stilts, costumes, merchandise, audio, and visual props and merchandise are designed and produced by members of the band.
