Sometimes a band comes along that simply defies all of your expectations. Perpetual Groove is one of those bands. PGroove quickly draws the listener into a warm cocoon of musical happiness from the moment the first notes leave the stage. Drawing on a diverse array of influences, the Savannah, GA based band tends to whip crowds into a frenzy with little regard for convention. It’s no wonder that a small army of devoted followers tours with the group all over the Southeast. PGroove formed in 2001 when guitarist Brock Butler and bassist Adam Perry met keyboardist Matt McDonald and drummer Albert Suttle at an open mic night. The four began jamming together and quickly realized that they were on to something. One year later PGroove was touring extensively and their music was reaching countless individuals. Through an innovative giveaway program more than 15,000 CDs were handed out at their live shows, certainly no small feat. Perpetual Groove also holds a series of accolades, including being named one of the Top Ten Bands to Watch in 2005 by Relix Magazine. Their debut album, Sweet Oblivious Antidote, has been one of the Home Grown Music Network’s top sellers since its release in January of 2003. Their follow-up, All This Everything, is holding steady as the network’s number one seller. Clearly PGroove is a band on the rise.
