Technaflora’s Costume Contest and Parade

Friday June 6th — 7:30pm — Budweiser Main Stage

Enter the Costume Contest!

Wear your costume all day on Friday because undercover Waka staff will walk amongst the crowds, choosing finalists throughout the day with a Golden Ticket.

Join the Parade!

Everyone is invited to join the Costume Parade.  Meet at the Main General Store (closest to Main Stage) at 7:15pm. Parade Procession is led by the VibeTribe.

Vote For Your Favorite!

Friday June 6th– 7:30pm at the Budweiser Main Stage.   All finalists with a Golden Ticket will be called to the Main Stage for the final vote on Friday evening! The loudest applause wins!  One winner will receive FREE TICKETS to Wakarusa 2015!

 

Alice Steuerwald Presents: “Body’s Journey” — Daily Yoga

Daily — 8:00 am – 10:00am — Grassroots California Outpost Stage.
Practice Yoga with Alice Steuerwald in a daily “Body’s Journey.” Begin each morning with a sense of peace and freedom in your body, while developing awareness of self through breath and proprioception.

STL Hoop Club’s Hoop & Flow Workshop

Daily — 10:30 am – 11:30 am — Grassroots California Outpost Stage (Hoops Provided)

Join the STL Hoop Club as they lead four unique and different flow focused days of workshops at the Satellite Stage!  The morning starts with a fun warm-up followed by multiple levels of classes with different focuses on flow, movement, and releasing your inner god or goddess.  Hoops are available to share. Workshops offered are:

Falling for the Single Hoop: An introduction offered daily for the new aspiring hooper
Single Hoop Bliss -  For the more advanced hooper
Double Hoop Bliss, Minis Flare, Single Staff, Double Staff, Hoop Fusion - Bring all of the props and toys that you love! Suggestions include poi, staff, umbrella, etc.
Conceptual Partner Hooping - You do not need to come with a partner–we will pair you up!

Brandon Draper’s World Music Workshops

Saturday June 7 & Sunday June 8 — 11:00am — The Untz Satellite Stage

Brandon Draper is a drum set artist, world percussionist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, father, husband, educator, dreamer, cheer bringer, joy spreader, and happy making sunshine.

Sunday Morning Drum Circle - Brandon uses games, humor, non-verbal communication and lots of energy to bring groups together with rhythm.  This 50 minute program is for children ages 1-100. Hand percussion instruments are provided for all participants.

 

Waka Wheel

Daily — 12:00pm – 2:00am — Revival Village

The Waka Wheel is Back in 2014!

$5 for a single ride or $20 for unlimited rides throughout the festival

 

Interactive Art Installations and Live Painters

Daily — 24 hours — Throughout the Festival Grounds

Wakarusa features many roaming artists, live painters and interactive art installations, such as the Living Chalkboard, pictured above.

 

Vendor Village & Shakedown Street

Daily — 24 Hours — Mother’s Brewing Co. Midway Area, Revival Village & Shakedown Street in the Campground Vending area

Boasting over 100 original craft vendors, Wakarusa guarantees a unique shopping experience to fit anyone’s styles, tastes and pocket book. Shopping areas include the Mother’s Brewing Co. Midway Area (pictured above), Revival Village and Campground Vending. Food vendors will be open around the clock to satisfy those late night munchies.

 

Recycalusa Raffle

Daily — 24 Hours — Main Venue

Bring a full bag of recycling to the Recycalusa Booth (check your program for location) and earn free swag from Wakarusa bands, artists and vendors.  Sort your bag of recyclable trash to earn a raffle ticket good for one entry into a drawing for free Wakarusa 2015 tickets!  Learn more about Recycalusa.

 

Experience the Ozarks

Daily — 24 Hours — Main Venue, Riverside and West Woods Camping areas 

Experience everything that the Ozark’s have to offer. Hike. Swim. Hang a hammock. Star-gaze. Fish the stocked ponds.

 

Float the Mulberry River

Daily — 12:oopm – 5:00pm — Riverside Campingcanoe

Through our friends at Byrd’s Adventure Center, we are offering canoe, kayak, raft and tube rentals directly at Riverside, complete with free shuttles!  Please visit our Canoe Rental Page for more information, including if you would like to bring your own canoe to Wakarusa.

Fishing

Daily — 24 Hours — Main Venue and Riverside Camping Areas

Fish one of our four stocked mini-lakes or enjoy private access to 1.5 mile of the Mulberry River.

Note: An Arkansas fishing license is required to fish on these lakes.
