Wakarusa 2012 Tickets

Please take a look at how our ticketing system works by clicking on each of the questions below.

What kind of ticket do my friends and I need?

  • For "General Admission," Each person entering the festival requires their own Event Pass such as Full Event, Three Day or Two Day.  In addition to each person having their own Event Pass, every vehicle entering the festival requires a Camping or Parking Pass such as Main Venue, West Woods, etc.  Up to 5 people can ride in one vehicle and split the cost of camping.  Children 11 and younger are free with a paying adult; limit 2 children per adult.  Note: this policy does not apply to VIP Passes.
  • For "VIP," Each person entering the festival requires a VIP Full Event, VIP Three Day or VIP Children's Pass.  Camping is included in the VIP ticket cost; there is no need to purchase any additional camping passes with VIP.   Children ages 1 through 16 require a Children's VIP Pass while adults 17 and older require a VIP Full Event or VIP Three Day Pass.
  • "Festival" includes the campgrounds, concert fields, day parking lot, and everything in between.

What kind of ticket do I need for my vehicle?

  • Up to 5 people may ride in one vehicle and split the cost of the Camping Pass.
    • Vehicle Type
    Camping Pass required per vehicle
    Motorcycles, Cars, Vans, Trucks and SUVs up to 24 feet in length; no trailers or campers Main Venue, Main Venue with Wed. Arrival,  West Woods, Riverside,  Accessible, or Day Parking

    The following vehicles are considered an "RV," and every "RV" entering the festival requires an RV Camping Pass:

    1. Any RV or vehicle towing an RV
    2. Any DOT class B vehicle
    3. Any vehicle over 25 feet in length*
    4. Any vehicle towing a trailer or camper of any size. If you're hitching anything, it's an "RV"

    RV Unreserved or Reserved Campsite.

    Any vehicle over 60 feet in length* That's pretty large man... a minimum of 2 RV Unreserved is required
    *Include any hitched trailers or campers in total vehicle length. 
  • Don't forget!  Each person riding in the vehicle also requires their own Event Pass to enter the festival.  "Festival" includes the campgrounds, concert fields, day parking and everything in between.

What kind of tickets do I need to enter the festival?

  • To enter the festival with Standard Event Passes


    1 Event Pass per person + 1 Camping Pass per vehicle = OK!
  • To enter the festival with VIP Event Passes


    1 VIP Pass per person + free camping with VIP = OK!

  • "Festival" includes concerts, late night concerts, scheduled activities, and campgrounds.

  • Camping is not included with the Three Day pass and must be purchased separately; every vehicle entering the festival also requires a Camping Pass.
  • Three Day Pass holders may enter the festival starting at 8:00 am on Friday June 1.  Three Day Pass holders cannot enter the festival before this time for any reason.

  • Just a hop, skip and a jump away, West Woods is a short walk to any of the concert grounds or activities.
  • West Woods is a more relaxed campground ideal for shade lovers and hammock enthusiasts.   This campground also has food and ice vendors, potable water sources, a general store and EMTs.
  • Event Passes are not included with this Camping Pass and must be purchased separately; each person must also have an Event Pass to enter the festival.
  • "Festival" includes concerts, late night concerts, scheduled activities, and campgrounds.

Riverside - $29

  • $29 per vehicle, plus fees
  • Primitive, next-to-car camping is included in this cost.
  • Located 3 miles south of the main festival venue, free shuttles will transport you to and from the Riverside Campground to the main festival venue.
  • Shuttle improvements for 2012 include 3 times the number of shuttles, and a more comfortable waiting station with free water and shade structures.
  • The Riverside Campground is our most affordable, quiet and spacious camping option.  You are also within steps to cooling off in the beautiful Mulberry River.
  • Event Passes are not included with this Camping Pass and must be purchased separately; each person must also have an Event Pass to enter the festival.
  • "Festival" includes concerts, late night concerts, scheduled activities, and campgrounds.

Day Parking

  • If you do not wish to camp overnight, a Day Parking lot is available near the Riverside Campground.
  • Day parking is located 3 miles south of the main festival venue; free shuttles will transport you to and from the Day Parking Lot to the main festival venue.
  • Shuttle improvements for 2012 include 3 times the number of shuttles, and a more comfortable waiting station with free water and shade structures.
  • Day parking passes are available for purchase at the festival box office only.  You can view Box Office hours and locations in our Ticket FAQ.

Family Camping - Sober Camping

  • A designated Family Campground is available in the Main Venue Campground.  Family Camping has a "lights out" policy daily at 11pm.  To stay in Family Camping, purchase a Main Venue Camping Pass for your vehicle, and follow the signs in main venue to family camping.
  • Operated by our friends Camp Traction, a designated Sober Campground will be available in the Main Venue Campground.  To stay in Sober Camping, purchase a Main Venue Camping Pass for your vehicle, and follow the signs in main venue to Camp Traction.

"RV" Camping Passes

The following vehicles are considered an "RV," and every "RV" entering the festival requires an RV Camping Pass:

  1. Any RV or vehicle towing an RV
  2. Any DOT class B vehicle

Reserved Campsites - SOLD OUT

  • Reserved Campsites are very limited in number and feature barbeque grills, water and electric hookups perfect for RVs or campers.
  • A dedicated Reserved Campground host is available to help you and your friends settle into the festival.   Reserved Campsite holders also have exclusive access to the shower house with warm showers and flushing toilets.
  • This is a campsite only.  Event Passes are not included with this Camping Pass and must be purchased separately; each person must also have an Event Pass or VIP Pass to enter the festival.
  • Up to 8 people and 2 vehicles are allowed at each campsite; one of the vehicles may be an "RV."

  • RV Unreserved @ Accessible Camping is in the heart of all the action.  Nestled between all 5 stages of Wakarusa, you are in the middle of all the music, activities and amenities on the mountain.
  • Need a break from all the activities?  Then enjoy the music from the comfort of your campground.
  • Event Passes are not included with this Camping Pass and must be purchased separately; each person must also have an Event Pass to enter the festival.
  • "Festival" includes concerts, late night concerts, scheduled activities, and campgrounds.
  • Gates open for RV Unreserved @ Accessible on Wednesday May 30 when accompanied with Full Event Passes.  Three Day and Two Day pass holders cannot enter the festival on Wednesday regardless of the camping pass.  You can view a helpful Gate Times chart in our Ticket FAQ.
  • Specific Camping Information such as campsite size, camping in large groups, and our "first come, first served" policy is available in Camping Info.

Day Parking @ Accessible

  • If you do not wish to camp overnight, a Day Parking lot is available at the Accessible Campground.
  • A state issued ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) license plate or placard is required to park in Accessible Camping.
  • Accessible day parking passes are available for purchase at the festival box office only.  You can view Box Office hours and locations in our Ticket FAQ.
