As if there weren't enough things to get you excited for Wakarusa - we've confirmed a carnival for this year's festival! That's right, fun for young and old - carnival style! Best of all, we'll have a 7 story Ferris Wheel to give you dazzling views of the festival grounds and the Ozark Mountains!
Don't want to check it in after the main stage goes quiet each night? We have another great solution for you this year. Welcome to Wakarusa's Silent Disco. Located in the main stage compound and produced by America's first and only Silent Disco company, Silent Events. Wakarusa's version of the Silent Disco will rage into the night, under the stars with a monster bon fire to heat up the party.
Each participant will be given a specially designed set of 2 channel headphones delivering the clearest sound possible. Two live DJ's will provide the entertainment - you chose which one you want to groove to by simply pressing a button on your headset. Born from the festival and rave scene in Europe and brought to you by Wakarusa and Silent Events, come witness or participate in the totally Silent Disco. You gotta try this innovative and outrageous dance party - open each night of Wakarusa.

The Friday Night Costume Party and Parade returns to Wakarusa! That's right folks, it's time to start digging through your attics, basements and storage lockers to piece together your best costume for this years' Costume Party and Parade! Plan to gather at the General Store around 6:30 on Friday evening for a parade to the mainstage where the chosen finalists will compete for big prizes!

Take an amazing adventure through the Ozark National Forest with hundreds of miles of hiking trails to explore. The Ozark Highlands Trail, rated one of the most scenic hiking trails in the country, is easily accessed from Mulberry Mountain. Enjoy an afternoon trip to the waterfalls on mountain creek or take a hike along the Mulberry River for great views of the Ozark Mountains. No matter where you tread you are sure to see some of the most amazing sites the forest has to offer.
You’ll find some great fishing opportunities at Mulberry Mountain. Fish one of our four stocked mini-lakes or enjoy private access to ½ mile of the Mulberry River. Note: An Arkansas fishing license is required to fish on these lakes. In late spring and early summer, the river is an excellent choice when angling for smallmouth, largemouth, and spotted bass or green and longear sunfish. The potholes can be fished during drier months, but getting to them may require hiking along a slippery streambed. The mini-lakes at Mulberry Mountain are kept stocked with a variety of fish
Turner Bend Outfitter and general store is located just four miles south of Mulberry Mountain. They offer canoe, kayak, and raft rentals on the Mulberry River. Turner Bend has been outfitting the Mulberry River for 28 years. The Mulberry River can be an easy Class I river or can be challenging whitewater depending on recent rainfall.
